Wonderful oversized rooms with 2 twin sized, in reality they were standard sized, beds. Larger balcony with an unobstructed view off Mt Fuji. Breakfast was the same everyday with buffet style Japanese standard fare. The onsens were all included with bathing materials including shampoo, conditioner, shower gel and hair dryers. The small store in the main lobby stocked cookies, candies, trinkets and ramen. Restaurants are within 15 minutes of the hotel. The hotel does have a Japanese style restaurant with a fixed menu for 7700 yen per person. We walked to a pancake place about 10 minutes away. It was fantastic. There's a shopping center across the street and a grocery store although we didn't go. The hotel provided a shuttle to and from the main train station every hour on the hour beginning at 9 and ending at 4. At the train station you can purchase tickets for the buses to Mt Fuji 5th station, the Ropeway and other tourist attractions. Most staff do not speak English so translator is essential. The staff is friendly but doesn't offer to help even when they observe guests needing it. Example, elder couple struggling with luggage. Other hotels we stayed in throughout Japan water over the top in being helpful, making suggestions for places to eat or shop.

The staff are very friendly and helpful. We requested a room at the highest floor available and they upgraded our room from a Standard Twin Room to a Upper Floor Deluxe Twin Room. The view of Mt Fuji from the 10th floor balcony is AMAZING, especially at sunrise. The breakfast (included) has lot of varieties (gear more towards Asian/Japanese's dishes, as you would expect) and is very delicious, although the menu do not change from day to day. The separate rooms for the toilet and the bathroom makes it very convenient. A short walking distance to convenient marts and a bigger supermarket, where you can buy food, snacks and drinks. The free shuttle bus is also a very convenient touch from the hotel, although it usually gets full fast - so booking by telling the staff in advance is highly recommended. We called the hotel from the Kawaguchiko train station for a pick-up and they arrived promptly and we found the shuttle bus with no incident.

The Regina Kawaguchiko is the best property located around the beautiful mountain forests and away from the hustle bustle . The view from the balcony was fabulous. You can see the beautiful Mount Fuji from the comfort of your room. Being a photographer made it thrilling as I could get beautiful day and night shots of Fujisan. The hotel offers free trips to the main town Kawaguchiko regularly. This made my stay comfortable as I could get to the main town and the other sightseeing locations without much hassle. The breakfast was decent and sumptuous. I recommend trying the Onsen. The hotel has the best Onsen facility of natural spring water and the temperature is maintained at 42C. After a whole day of walking a dip in Onsen is very refreshing.

Much appreciated that I got upgraded to a bigger room. The room is spacious. Breakfast are good with a lot of choices. Hot Spring is so comfortable. I chose the Mt Fuji view room that I can see Mt Fuji the first thing in the morning. Because I am staying there for Marathon, it would be good if the hotel can be more considerate to provide exact earlier shuttle bus service (like depart at 7:30 instead of regular schedule at 8:00) for the runners to Kawaguchiko station. It would be also an encouragement and support to overseas runners if hotel provides this exact service just for this special day.

Hotel Regina is one of the tallest buildings in the surrounding area, and all rooms offer great view of mt Fuji. it is located on the main national road, but set back sufficently so it is quiet and private. there is a ramen restaurant and small mall located within walking distance to the hotel. we stayed in twin room, with seperate living and bedroom spaces. the bathroom was recently renovated with a large bath. there is laundry and public bath on site. plenty of parking the breakfast buffet was limited but perfectly suited for a short stay and number of people in the hotel at the time.
