Wonderful oversized rooms with 2 twin sized, in reality they were standard sized, beds. Larger balcony with an unobstructed view off Mt Fuji. Breakfast was the same everyday with buffet style Japanese standard fare. The onsens were all included with bathing materials including shampoo, conditioner, shower gel and hair dryers. The small store in the main lobby stocked cookies, candies, trinkets and ramen. Restaurants are within 15 minutes of the hotel. The hotel does have a Japanese style restaurant with a fixed menu for 7700 yen per person. We walked to a pancake place about 10 minutes away. It was fantastic. There's a shopping center across the street and a grocery store although we didn't go. The hotel provided a shuttle to and from the main train station every hour on the hour beginning at 9 and ending at 4. At the train station you can purchase tickets for the buses to Mt Fuji 5th station, the Ropeway and other tourist attractions. Most staff do not speak English so translator is essential. The staff is friendly but doesn't offer to help even when they observe guests needing it. Example, elder couple struggling with luggage. Other hotels we stayed in throughout Japan water over the top in being helpful, making suggestions for places to eat or shop.

The staff are very friendly and helpful. We requested a room at the highest floor available and they upgraded our room from a Standard Twin Room to a Upper Floor Deluxe Twin Room. The view of Mt Fuji from the 10th floor balcony is AMAZING, especially at sunrise. The breakfast (included) has lot of varieties (gear more towards Asian/Japanese's dishes, as you would expect) and is very delicious, although the menu do not change from day to day. The separate rooms for the toilet and the bathroom makes it very convenient. A short walking distance to convenient marts and a bigger supermarket, where you can buy food, snacks and drinks. The free shuttle bus is also a very convenient touch from the hotel, although it usually gets full fast - so booking by telling the staff in advance is highly recommended. We called the hotel from the Kawaguchiko train station for a pick-up and they arrived promptly and we found the shuttle bus with no incident.

We had a wonderful view of Mount Fuji from our balcony! It was awesome to wake up to. The room was very spacious for two people. We were able to easily open our two suitcases without stepping over one another. We loved the yukatas that were provided for us. It was fun to dress up and they were very comfortable. You could even wear them around the hotel, including dinner. As for dinner, we opted to dine in at the hotel on both nights we were there, and the food was delicious and beautifully presented. Don't forget to make reservations. We ordered the grilled beef and tempura. Definitely get the Mount Fuji float drink! The food service was impeccable, as well as the front desk staff. Always so polite and helpful! There's a shuttle bus from the hotel to the nearby station and vice versa - a really short jaunt. Very convenient service! There was also laundry service that we used. Be prepared to have coins with you. We brought our own laundry sheets, but you could also purchase detergent on the premise. On the premise, you'll also find vending machines and a charming souvenir shop. Around the hotel, there are restaurants, jogging paths, and nature trails that you can explore. There's even a nearby supermarket and shopping center with a great view of Mount Fuji! Overall, we had an excellent 2-night stay and would whole heartedly recommend Hotel Regina Kawaguchiko!

Overall a nice hotel and pleasant staff. Vending machines on multiple floors and small hotel shop in the entry hall, allowing access to drinks etc. the whole day. Available, free bus shuttle starting from 8 am from the hotel entrance to Kawaguchiko Station with 30 min frequency.

Nothing could prepare me for the view. Watching the sunrise on Mt Fuji from the comfort of my duvet was magical. The free shuttle bus from dedicated hotel shuttle stand at the train station (to the right hand side of the station entrance) was so handy. I stayed in 2 rooms (thank you to the staff that kindly helped me extend my stay). The first (1009) was essentially a suite and the largest room I’ve had so far in Japan, with substantial balcony, private foyer, fridge freezer, sofa/seating area, walk in wardrobe and very large bathroom. Everything was spotless and the room decor gave a tasteful retro vibe. The second room was a smaller twin but still large compared to the average in Japan, a balcony and decent sized bathroom. There was a large seating area in reception to await the shuttle. I’ll have to return to try out the tennis courts and the traditional baths.

We were very impressed with how spacious and comfortable our room was. We had a fantastic view of Mt. Fuji from our room, which was much better than we were expecting. The breakfasts were nice and we had the "all you can eat" Shabu Shabu dinner one night, which was very delicious. We loved everything about your hotel.

The Regina Kawaguchiko is the best property located around the beautiful mountain forests and away from the hustle bustle . The view from the balcony was fabulous. You can see the beautiful Mount Fuji from the comfort of your room. Being a photographer made it thrilling as I could get beautiful day and night shots of Fujisan. The hotel offers free trips to the main town Kawaguchiko regularly. This made my stay comfortable as I could get to the main town and the other sightseeing locations without much hassle. The breakfast was decent and sumptuous. I recommend trying the Onsen. The hotel has the best Onsen facility of natural spring water and the temperature is maintained at 42C. After a whole day of walking a dip in Onsen is very refreshing.

Hotel Regina is one of the tallest buildings in the surrounding area, and all rooms offer great view of mt Fuji. it is located on the main national road, but set back sufficently so it is quiet and private. there is a ramen restaurant and small mall located within walking distance to the hotel. we stayed in twin room, with seperate living and bedroom spaces. the bathroom was recently renovated with a large bath. there is laundry and public bath on site. plenty of parking the breakfast buffet was limited but perfectly suited for a short stay and number of people in the hotel at the time.

They gave me a free upgrade to a huge western-Japanese room with a brand new bathroom, which was amazing. All the staff were awesome. View of fuji was unbelieveable, worth every penny. Didn't have a chance to eat the breakfast/kaiseki, closest convenience store is like 5-10 minutes walk. There are a few restaurants in the area, most close early though, and nothing is spectacular. 25 minute walk from kawaguchiko station if you miss the shuttle, not bad. Mall nearby has a grocery store and misc shopping, feels like it's from the 70s or something.
